Replit Raises $400M and Hits $9B Valuation — Just Six Months After Reaching $3B

Vibe-coding platform Replit continues its rapid ascent in the AI development space. According to TechCrunch, the company has closed a $400 million Series D round at a $9 billion valuation. The round was led by returning investor Georgian Partners, with participation from G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, and the venture arms of Accenture, Okta, and Databricks.

Founder and CEO Amjad Masad revealed on social media that basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal and actor Jared Leto also joined the round as angel investors.

Just last September, Replit was valued at $3 billion following a $250 million raise. At the time, the company reported annualized revenue tracking toward $150 million. While updated ARR figures have not been disclosed, Forbes reports that leadership aims to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of this year.

Despite its meteoric rise in recent months, Replit's journey was far from overnight. As Masad previously shared in an interview with TechCrunch, it took nine years of persistent effort — including a controversial pivot away from professional developers toward users with no coding experience — before the company found its stride on the vibe-coding wave.
